Breaking Down Borders
It is with a full heart that I share this documentary here.
Altrefrontiere was born from the desire to give visibility to a contamination of different energies, united by constant research through body language and in the international context of dance.
It's the idea of breaking boundaries, and with that, the limits of the body and mind.
Body language communicates without words, it’s a universal language that unites everyone.
Altrefrontiere plays a very special role in me, not only represents one of my purposes in life, but it accompanies me in a very delicate and intentional way.
2022 was a strong year - and by that I mean it wasn't easy - but it was undoubtedly a turning point for me and the way I see my presence here. A year that invited me to look inside, to jump fearfully into the unknown but with a blind desire to do so.
Today I look back and realize that will.
There are things we don't understand at the moment, and we don't have to.
This documentary represents not only the necessary role of the human being in body expression, but also a humanized request to close our eyes more often and connect with ourselves, with our basic needs, our thoughts, our emotions and manage who we are from there.
It's from the inside out, not the other way around.
An incalculable thank you to everyone who allowed me to do this.
It's the good side of feeling everything intensely.
Thanks to Angelica Proietti and Luciana Lusso Roveto, creators and founders of this magical project that keeps growing. It's not just a contemporary dance festival, it's a magical place where the human being happens and the body takes control. A place where emotion speaks louder and expresses herself through our systems.
Thanks to the teachers, Cruz Isael Mata, Luciana Lusso, Marigia Maggipinto, Rakesh Sukesh and Tijen Lawton - human beings I am grateful to know, inside and out. Grateful for the missions you bring with you.
Thank you to the dancers, Aldina Topcagic, Amy Petts, Angelica Proietti, Antoine Landrieu, Arthur Trigaux, Gabrielle Poulin, Lavinia Johnson, Leyla Haubois, Marie Landrieu, Sofia Moe, Sophie Burton, Tiina Sainila - who allowed themselves the beautiful vulnerability that sometimes life asks, an increasingly frequent request.
And a special thanks to Davide Tacchini, Gemma Camilla Costa, and Gloria Lorandi, who welcomed us with open arms for 2 weeks in a space as pure as theirs. And thanks to Eduardo Morato, a colleague and friend who accompanied me during this period and transformation, with whom I grew and continue to grow.
I see You.
